This year will continue the construction of five real estate developments for housing, offices, services and businesses in the Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City. These properties will represent sales of more than 5,155 million pesos (mdp), calculates the consultant TINSA Mexico.
The list of properties under construction for 2012 consists of one of the complexes that make up Performa (Lar Group), as well as Plaza Residences Mexico City (GIM Residencial), Magenta Reforma (Diametro Arquitectos), Reforma 27 (ICA Residencial) and Reforma 432 (Elipse Group).
Of these buildings, Baloys Tiburcio, TINSA Consulting Manager, highlights the Reforma 432 project, designed by the Mexican architect Michel Rojkind, which will have 52 floors distributed in homes, offices, hotel and shops. For its construction were joined 12 farms that cover until the street of Tokyo, in Zona Rosa.
The Performa project, promoted by the Spanish firm Grupo Lar and Disarq Arquitectos e Ingenieros, was revived after almost six months of being stopped. At first it was composed of five towers that would be built in three stages. Altogether, 700 departments would be accommodated. However, it was modified to stay in 4 towers that include only 500 homes. None have yet been built.
The building Reforma 100, developed by Grupo Danhos, is not included in the list of TINSA Mexico, because it no longer has empty units.
By 2013 there will be at least four new buildings that are only foundations, such as the Torre Santander, the Mapfre Seguros Tower and the New York Life Tower, as well as the BBVA Bancomer building, which has a little more progress and Is located right in front of the Estela de Luz, predicted TINSA Mexico.
"We would love to see all these offices have policies to promote cycling and avoid the car as much as possible," said Gabriela Alarcón, a consultant with the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO).
