Millions of dollars will be invested by German businessmen in the construction of a new nitrogen fertilizer plant in the port of Topolobampo. The German company Proman will be in charge of carrying out this great investment in Sinaloa. This project will help the local and national industrial sector with the production of natural gas at a competitive price, said the Secretary of Energy (Sener).
With the construction of this new plant will be generated around 3,000 jobs, according to the General Coordination of Strategic Projects of the government of Sinaloa. It is expected that this plant will have the capacity to produce up to 2,200 tons of ammonia gas per day. The production will be to abstain the domestic market and export to the United States, South America and Asia.
This project is expected to be cloned in 3 years, studies are being carried out to measure the environmental impact. The investment of the German entrepreneurs will join the investment of the Norwegian company Yara, which will install a factory of mechanized fertilizers.
With these projects announced in the last two months, new investments in Sinaloa are expected to land, which will help Sinaloa's economic and industrial development, mainly in the northern region.
According to official information, both investments in Sinaloa were triggered by the North-Northwest pipeline currently being built in Sinaloa, which will have a length of 1,780 kilometers with an investment of $ 1 billion by TransCanada.
Fernando Lizárraga, technical secretary of the General Coordination of Strategic Projects, said that for the next three years will generate an economic pledge for approximately $ 4 billion in the Mexican entity.
