In 2014 the Federation allocated a historic budget for the Center Completely Planned (CIP) "Playa Espíritu", the National Tourism Fund reported that investment is greater than in other centers, 530 million pesos.

"We are going to firm step towards the consolidation of this project. To date have been invested 2.3 billion pesos and requires many billions and we believe that if we continue with investments of 500 million per year, in two or three years we would be in a very interesting situation to see this project Consolidation so that we can offer it, "said the delegate of Fonatur in Sinaloa, Joel Amarillas López prior to the presentation of the Program for Prevention and Conservation of Sea Turtles. The 530 million pesos that are destined to these works will be used in the infrastructure as it is underground wiring, roads and perimeter fence.

"It is for infrastructure that is demanding development based on the concept in its origin of the master plan ... all that means civil works that involves the basic infrastructure to be able to install hotels in the future," he said.

Amarillas López added that the first hotel to be built will serve potential investors, as well as a golf course, which could be completed the same 2014.

"We do not sell development promises, what do we look for? That the investor give us the assurance that his investment is guaranteed, "he informed.

The delegate of Fonatur assured that the debt that was maintained with suppliers of the CIP already is liquidated. There are only about 3 million outstanding that could not be paid because there are companies that could not prove their purchase, he said.

In total, 13 million pesos were paid to companies that rendered their services. The plan for next year is that suppliers who are required to continue with CIP works are contracted through public tenders and not through Fonatur constructions, as was previously the case.

He reiterated that the CIP project will be developed as originally projected, despite environmentalists' comments, due to the effects that will be caused by the construction of the site and that will leave the surrounding municipalities like Escuinapa and El Rosario without water.

"We do not have any modification. Fonatur has always been responsible and the projects have brought them to a successful conclusion. "

"If we continue with investments of 500 million per year, in two or three years we would be in a very interesting situation for this project to see such consolidation that we can offer."
