In relation to the National Infrastructure Plan (PNI) 2014-2018, presented at the time by President Enrique Peña Nieto, includes 3 projects for the CIPs in the Arquitectural Zones of Teotihuacan, Chichén Itzá and Palenque.
The Teotihuacan project has 1,000 hectares and will be the one with the highest investment of 4.180 million pesos, Chichén Itzá also with 1,000 hectares will get 2,375 million pesos and last but not least Palenque with 1,046 hectares will receive a contribution of 1,270 million.
MORE THAN 25,000 MILLION FOR ALL CIPS
In addition to the budgeted amounts for the new CIPs, PNI plans to invest 17,714 million pesos for works in the CIPs already installed in. Oaxaca) and Cancun (Quintana Roo).
As a whole, the government will invest 25,539 million euros to the concept of CIP, which represents 14% of all allocated to the tourism sector in the PNI (181,242 million pesos).
