Investments in Mazatlan: The Investment of the Hotel Chain La Quinta Inn

The prestigious chain of Hoteles Sinaloenses San Marcos will invest 90 million pesos in Mazatlán in the middle of the year, thus placing the port among the tourist destinations with more international projection, said Raúl Valdez Hernández. The director of Municipal Economic Development announced that the complex will be called La Quinta Inn and Suites Mazatlan, and will be located in Fraccionamiento La Marina.

This chain of hotels is already located in Culiacan, in the United States and South America, so "La Perla del Pacífico" will come to give it tourism of greater purchasing power, he said. "They are going to start construction in the middle of this year, the Mayor is giving all the support to promote tourism investment and we see that he was not mistaken, it is an international chain."

The construction of the hotel will directly employ 60 people and will promote some 120 indirect jobs, said Valdez Hernández. The trust that the municipal, state and federal authority has given to the port can be seen not only in international works, but also national, proof of this is the next opening of one of two branches of Bodega Aurrerá Express, this next March 21, he said. Each store will invest 11 million pesos, in addition to the generation of dozens of jobs, he said. Also in March, seven small micro-enterprises opened their doors in the city, all aimed at the commerce sector, he recalled.
